Most major cities around the world continue to grow at a phenomenal rate due to the massive increase in population. This has led to a general decline in the quality of life in city areas as the environment becomes more crowded and polluted. Give some reasons why this growth has occurred and suggest some practical solutions to this problem.
Most large cities are experiencing rapid population growth, which has resulted in a low level of life, a crowded, unclean environment, and an increase in pollution. Cities provide better job prospects and a better quality of life, which has led to this increase. By offering work opportunities and enhancing living conditions in rural areas, the problem can be resolved. Most big cities provide fantastic employment opportunities and higher living standards. Due to the concentration of large corporations in metropolitan regions, people move there in quest of better-paying employment. For instance, people commute to New York for employment from New Jersey. Greater access to basic essentials in big cities also draws people from small areas. As an example, consider the migration of residents in rural provinces seeking a better standard of living. Because of the superior living conditions and employment prospects, there is a large migration to metropolitan areas. By improving living circumstances and offering other incentives, this mass movement can be curbed. First off, there would be no reason for people to migrate if everything was available in their tiny towns and villages. Additionally, if large businesses establish themselves in these areas and provide the locals jobs with better pay and other perks as an incentive, they will choose to live near their families. To give an example, the government of Sindh agreed to compensate doctors who worked in rural locations 50% more. In conclusion, cities have seen a dramatic rise in population, which has caused the area to become crowded and polluted. The expansion is primarily due to better housing circumstances and employment opportunities. Two things can solve these issues: better housing and more incentives for small towns.
