Fossil fuel, such as coal, oil and natural gas, is extensively used in many countries which causes harm to the environment. The use of alternative sources of energy, including wind and solar power, however, are being encouraged in many countries. Is this a positive or negative development?

The world's energy needs are rising yearly. As a result, the current and already scarce resources are under a lot of stress, and the majority of these energy sources, like fossil fuels, have an adverse effect on the environment. I firmly feel that promoting the usage of alternative energy sources is a good idea because it is a growing trend. We need solutions to issues like how to make better use of the existing, finite fossil fuel supplies and how to promote the use of alternative energy sources in order to address the world's energy demand and environmental issues. Coal and oil are examples of fossil fuels, which are not an endless supply of energy. While some nations, like those in OPEC, have enormous oil reserves, others have coal or natural gas reserves. And a few others, like Germany and Japan, are totally reliant on the importation of these resources. Alternative energy, often known as green energy, should be promoted and used in all of these nations to lessen reliance on fossil fuels and to maintain a "healthy" and balanced global ecosystem. We must bring renewable energy sources that would not hurt the environment and be practical for most nations to create if we are to change the situation in our favor. Currently, it appears that solar and wind power are the best options for it. Nations with cutting-edge technology, including France and Norway, are able to manufacture solar panels that are incredibly effective at storing solar energy or generating wind power. Both forms of power have the potential to lessen a nation's reliance on fossil fuels, therefore their use is unquestionably a very desirable development. To conclude, using solar and wind energy to generate energy does not harm the environment, which helps maintain the stability of the ecosystem. Therefore, it is important to treat them well and promote their widespread use.
