The use of personal cars has increased more than ever before but this use of cars causes many problems. What are those problems? In order to reduce these problems, should we discourage people from using cars?
The most coveted aspiration of every person is to own a personal home and vehicle at any stage of life. Compared to a few decades ago, there has been an upsurge in personal vehicle travel in recent years. In this post, I'll talk about the challenges brought on by everyone driving, as well as ideas to lessen these risks. The majority of us think that a growing number of cars have troubles every day. First off, global warming is the most significant problem harming humanity on a worldwide scale. These vehicles generate a lot of pollution, which is harming the environment as a whole. In addition, traffic congestion is a current issue that affects us all. For instance, the highways in my city, Mumbai, were built to accommodate a particular volume of traffic, but due to an excessive rise in the number of vehicles, we frequently see traffic jams. Everyone who drives their own automobile incurs costs as well. It is directly related to the national economy. Owning a car is not a practical answer since, for instance, when the majority of us travel in our own automobiles, we burn fuel and this eventually adds to an increase in our country's import costs because we buy oil from other countries. However, the aforementioned issues can be rectified by different government-level actions. Government can first enhance both intercity and intracity public transportation. To offer the general public services that are both inexpensive and comfortable, they might entice investors to invest in this industry. In order to deter people from purchasing their own cars, they can also levy heavy taxes on gasoline and the purchase of vehicles. For instance, the government of Pakistan has enacted a strategy to tax an automobile based on the size of its engine, which can increase the tax on large luxury vehicles by up to 300 percent. As a result, the majority of our citizens cannot afford the expense of large automobiles. In conclusion, governments and citizens must work together to discourage the use of personal vehicles and promote the many strategies covered above for a higher quality of life and a healthier environment if we want to preserve the environment for future generations.
