Dance has both aesthetic as well as symbolic value and is acknowledged by performers and observers of a particular culture, and every different culture has its own dance form which may or may not be like any other. Every dance is categorised by the range of its steps which are sequenced by a procedure called choreography along with its place or time of origin. There are some other human movements like cheerleading, gymnastics, martial arts with the characteristics of dance, and dance can also be performed in different contexts like theatrical and participatory which have almost overlapping qualities.
